Well, well, well! Look who’s back! That’s right, Mike Ross has gracefully returned to the FGC as he was seen on stream with Mr. Wizzard. All I can say is welcome good sir. It’s been a while and God knows we need your wittiness that has been missing for so long. Hopefully the vacation you took will have helped you get back to where you use to be. Welcome home brother!
Now to the nitty gritty of the mess that is known as, EVO 2020. Look above and tell me what you see? Now look above and tell me what you don’t see? That’s right, MK11 will not be a part of EVO 2020. And already the neigh-sayers are in an uproar about it. NRS is catching crazy heat and the community seems to be dwindling. I almost begin to believe it started when Joker was released.
I my self could have done without Samurai Showdown being at EVO with MK11 in it’s place. Showdown has an extremely slow pace and drive’s me insane. Now the return of Marvel v Capcom 2?!?!? That’s a welcome back that wasn’t expected.
Well I can’t wait to see how this begins to unfold as the FGC is going nuts right now on all this. Can’t wait to hear from you all later.
Football season has come to an end last night as the Kansas City Chiefs crowned the Super Bowl LVI Champions! Patrick Mahomes as the MVP and Andy Reed’s very first Super Bowl win after 14 years!
Now to the important part of my being. I know I’ve been offline with my streaming lately but I’ve been in the middle of reconstruction of my room. I was given the green light the other day to take of the garage and convert it to my cave. That’s right I now have “My” area of the house where I can work and feel comfortable to not have to worry about a thing. This was all that I wanted. And my wife gave it to me. So I will be working on her shed little by little until she gets to the point she is comfortable as well.
I’ll be track more tourneys and up to date FGC news as I get it. You already know I’m no Xkira but I love to share as much as I find out, when I find out so stay tuned. The pick up is about to be real!!

I will say this, I’ve been waiting for the release of Joker for selfish reasons, also known as Spawn. Spawn will be the 3 African American fighter on MK11 and also in my opinion going to be the most anticipated. But we will talk on that next month when he is set to be released.
Joker has some good combos from what I have seen and honestly I can’t wait for Sonic Fox to start the wackiness because this is what he does. On his mode to keep his title as The Best in Mortal Kombat and all of the FGC, this should be good!
11 days ago the biggest rage came up that I saw on Twitter. I was dying of laughter that I said to myself, why don’t I go back to PC seeing that Capcom and Sony won’t get together to fix the infamous…..”NET CODE ISSUE”!!
So I dug into it and wanted to find out more about this fix and went at it. I will have the information links at the end of the post so that you PC players will have the fix as well.
Since being in released in early 2016, Street Fighter V has been a buzz of great things to happen. Well that seems to lack luster as when it comes to game play, but outstanding when it comes to the variation of fighters that have been brought to us. Some classics and a few rookies. Playing Street Fighter V when it’s local has been outstanding; playing Street Fighter V online is the complete opposite. I’ve been on Reddit the last few days getting everyone’s take on this and of course there are huge mixed emotions. This lead me to take up the challenge myself to see the difference and I have.

Conclusion: ZERO rollback with PC players over several ranked matches. However, I can confirm it does cause massive rollback issues with PS4 players.
This means you have one of two options: either accept shitty netcode and play without the patch vs. both PS4 and PC players, OR you can install the patch and play only against PC players on ranked. Sadly we cannot have both. The netcode has always favored the slower machines which means PC typically got the one-sided rollback in the past, but this does not justify PC players modding the game and willingly setting the ranked queue to allow PS4 players in it. It’s unfair to the PS4 player. So PC ranked only with mod, or vanilla play queue vs. any platform.
For me personally, I’d rather play 10 matches with perfect netcode vs. PC players than 10 matches with 3 of them being nearly unplayable and another 3 having at least one round ending situation that was influenced by rollback.
I promise you won’t be disappointed, I wasn’t. I’m looking to keep my game play on PC from now on when it comes to ranking and stick to PS4 casuals because it would only be fair to the buddy I have that only play on PS4.
I really hope that Capcom and Sony get it together for SFVI on the PS5 release.

Happy New Year to you all. I have been sick all of Christmas and I will tell you it’s no part of fun. But I manned up enough strength to ensure that the family was happy on Christmas Eve and got everyone their favorite from Olive Garden for New Year’s Eve. I was blessed with a Mascot POP (UGA Bulldogs) as a gift from the wife and kids and we all took a pic together.

I know that I have been going through some major Street Fighter V posts and that is because of the Balance Update that came out right after Capcom Cup. Everything seems to have been done right from what I have seen except for the Net-code issue that will forever loom Street Fighter V. Hopefully this will disappear. But now on to the next. Yes, that’s right… Mortal Kombat 11.
I have been on a strong move when it comes to Mortal Kombat 11. I have been a Kombatant the month after the game was released and to tell the truth, I haven’t enjoyed myself this much since the release of Street Fighter V. There are 3 Kombatants that I main (Sonya, Skarlet, and Scorpion). I tell you know lie its a different kind of life fight on MK11 where there is actually a block but that won’t be confused with directional block like Street Fighter and Dragon Ball Fighter Z. But back to the Tier List above.
I really think it sucks that Sonya has been downgraded fro being an S- to an A+. She is still within a limit but to me I really believe that she should be back in S-. Lui Kang being in S along with Gearis was to be expected but I tell the fact the Cage is up there is beyond me.
So I’ve been playing around in the FGC for about 4 years and every year the rules change up. So my question is, what are the actual rules to being a part of the FGC?
So this is what I have found out:
There really isn’t a set of rules that goes along with the community unless you are at a local tournament. Once you get to that level, then yes rules do come into effect. I posted on reddit.com a week ago and that was about the answers I received. Some even said that the internet was just about filled with trolls on this issue as well. So what do we do as a community when we want to build something as strong as the FGC to a level of respect. Well I will be coming back with a second part this post to follow up. Well I’ve been going through some of the second V Skills that we’re released on Sunday and will say that I am superbly impressed with what was done. It actually makes me want to become a Guile player seeing that he now has an Air Boom that travels down. It’s almost as if Ono San knee exactly what people wanted for Christmas. I’ve been working with Ibuki’s second V as well and I will say that it is worth it as well. The ability to through spikes out to block an EX projectile is genius and to also have it react like Birdie’s Banana Peel is sweet. But not all second Vs seem to be an advantage. Ken’s for example isn’t what I expected of it and know that I will be sticking to Quick Step even though I really don’t use it.
The Player Balance seems to be a good thing too. I’ve had a few fights to where everything didn’t seem one sided when it came to health and hit points. I get it that some of the fighters do need to have certain things buffed and others nerfed and this is exactly what happened with the update on Sunday.
